The Inn at Piggott is housed in the original Bank of Piggott, constructed in 1925. During the Great Depression, the bank dissolved and in 1930, Paul Pfeiffer (father-in- law to Ernest Hemingway), chartered Piggott State Bank and expanded the building to include Pfeiffer Land Company. The property has been graciously restored into a nine unit B&B and reflects the architecture, beauty and charm that is unmistakably, Piggott, Arkansas.
The community is steeped with history and a cultural tradition that has caught the eye of Hollywood and will surely catch yours! (The first scene of the first movie filmed in Arkansas was taken from the Inn’s front doorstep!) From Ernest Hemingway; to Andy Griffith; to the most famous opera singer the world has known—The Inn at Piggott has been a part of it all!
